This recipe was taken from a colleague of mine's cookbook Sheldon G. Lutchman. Enjoy!
Indredients:
- 1 cup currants
- cinnamon powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- full cream milk ( or coconut milk)
Directions:
- Prepare basic pastry dough.
- Roll out the dough and spread the butter, sprinkle the cinnamon, spread and press in the currants and sprinkle with some sugar
- Roll one long side of the dough and fold over.
- Moisten the edge with a little milk, press together to seal.
- Place on a lighlty greased baking sheet or dish.
- Heat oven to moderate 350 degrees F.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool first and then cut
